What inspires your art?

We are inspired by thought of having a platform to create change in a positive fashion thru our art.

Do you have any current projects or events?

Yes. We have just released a mixtape entitled " Datz Dem In Da Building Vol. 1. We are in the process of completing our album. We have just completed an informal autobiography entitled "Feel Me Before They Kill Me" and we are currently shooting the movie adaptation of said book.

What do you want the Taggleme community to know about you?

We firmly feel that anything is possible if you believe. GOD is good all the time.

An interview with Gospel Hip Hop Artist Theziz

Where are you from? Where do you currently live?

I was born in Washington DC and I now reside in Suitland, MD

How long have you indulged in this art form?

I have been doing Holy Hip Hop now across the DMV for 9 years now. It has been a while but I love doing what I do and it’s not about the money. Because if that was the case, a lot of what I do would not have made the impact it has made in some people’s lives.

Give three words that describe your art?

Motivational, Energetic, Thought-Provoking

What inspires your art?

Well, first and foremost of course is God! He constantly gives me music to write and when there were times when I wanted to give up and say that is it, I quit! He always had a ram in the bush and always kept the vision he gave me in the forefront. My family, my children and the youth and “young at heart” always keep me moving towards the movement as well. It is always a blessing to hear at the end of the day that you made an impact on someone’s life through your music. To me that is the MOST important part of my artistry. That is the most important part of music.

Do you have any current or upcoming projects or events?

Right now I have an album out called “Blood Brothaz” with a fellow brother of mine, named Phlo, and we have two separate albums out as well. But I am currently working with youth in my church called “GOK- Generation of Kings and I am working on putting together a mixtape of some of the Holy Hip Hop artist in the DMV area. So my company, ADAGroupInc/ P.U.L.S.E Music, is very busy for the Kingdom and believe in reaching out to touch the people!

What do you want the taggleme community to know about you?

Theziz is a very down to earth person who believes in not just talking about doing something but being about it. In today’s society we fail to realize that the children we bring up will lead us into tomorrow so what are we teaching them. That’s where, I believe, that we need to use the medium which is music to channel in on their growth. Music is not the only way, but it is a tool that we can use to reach the youth! Theziz as a person, father of 3 children, husband, minister, just wants to make a movement that not just says something, but does something. An actual change in someone’s life that says what must I do………
